At a glance, New Era and Microsoft migrated 90,000 Exchange on-premise mailboxes to Exchange Online Multi-Tenant, upgraded 33,000 machines to Office 2016, and enabled Skype for Business for 30,000 users for the customer.

Everbridge was searching for a networking and security platform solution. After reviewing other companies and their security offerings, Everbridge chose Fortinet based on the comprehensive suite of security solutions, networking components and the ability for their products to work together, creating no risks or security gaps. New Era Technology
served as a trusted advisor with global reach, delivering the solution in a timely manner and managing the implementation and rollout.

Outcome

Everbridge planned a phased rollout for this integration. The first phase included implementing Fortinet’s switching, routing, and firewall technology. The following phases include SD-WAN solutions built into native firewalls and replacing a competitor’s solution, a network access control system, and implementing EMS. The EMS offering replaces
the current antivirus and aids on vulnerability management and critical risk intelligence.

This solution allows Everbridge to have a distributed workforce, working safely and remotely no matter where they are in the world. Thanks to this platform, Everbridge is prepared for the future as it provides the ability to expand and grow alongside the platform.

Summary

Since 1901, this drugstore retailer has grown to become the largest chain in the U.S. Operating over 8,900 stores in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and the District of Columbia. The chain’s pharmaceutical
products make up two-thirds of the retailer’s sales. Due to restrictive regulations on drugs with high-abuse levels, thefts of CII drugs began taking place. The chain’s Texas-based location began experiencing an increase in CII drug theft, requiring action for the safety of employees, customers, and the customers internal Organized Crime Prevention Team. With time being a significant factor, New Era Technology was contracted to integrate a camera within the retailers existing network to improve local and remote visibility to the targeted area. This project required New Era to complete 455 site locations within three months.

Challenge

Due to restrictive regulations on high-abuse drugs, thefts of CII drugs began taking place. The retailer needed a physical security solution to reduce this risk.

Solution

The ability to streamline projects of this magnitude is a fundamental piece of New Era’s foundation. First, a team of New Era physical security engineers were selected to verify system requirements and to determine the optimal placement for each camera to properly cover the Pharmacy CII safe. The second aspect of this project included utilizing the project management team that is dedicated to this customer and is familiar with their specifications
and requirements. By consistently having the same management team, the retailer became familiar and accustomed to the team members, thus better allowing New Era employees to act as an extension of the customer’s company.

Outcome

With New Era’s support, the retailer was able to rapidly improve video surveillance coverage when they began to experience theft issues within their Texas-based locations, further protecting their employees, their assets and their
customers.

Technology was selected as the sole provider of audio visual and virtual collaboration technologies at the hospital and its other facilities.

Challenge

Offer integrated collaboration solutions for new medical tower, for various-sized rooms to enhance care and convenience for patients and family members.

Solution

Multiple rooms of various sizes were updated to the hospital network’s new audio/video standards, using Crestron control and Zoom virtual collaboration technologies. This soon led to New Era expanding the relationship to other systems such as IP paging, room scheduling, digital signage, and more.

Outcome

New Era provides ongoing support to the hospital’s IT staff with VNOC remote monitoring, scheduled on-site technical
service as needed, preventative maintenance, and a Priority Support program to keep these new patient-centric systems functioning consistently. Summary

Chipotle was in search of a technology deployment partner to fulfill cabling requirements across their rapidly expanding network of restaurants. A previous provider was not following Chipotle’s policies which led to wasted time and energy. In search of a true partner, Chipotle refocused their efforts to work with New Era Technology to adhere to coverage at the national level while aiding in upcoming projects.

Challenge

The size of the conduit in place was not large enough to hold all cables within scope. New Era was responsible for identifying a solution that also adhered to future deployments. Additionally, to manage over 200 deployments a year as part of Chipotle’s new restaurant opening, Chipotle launched a new service management tool. New Era had to quickly learn the new tool to ensure processes were updated and delivered on future projects.

Solution

New Era’s team identified a solution to ensure the conduit would work for all future deployments. With a designated support group, New Era provided Chipotle’s infrastructure and design team with the appropriate collateral and playbooks needed to ensure business continuity for the organization’s network infrastructure.

Outcome

As of 2022, New Era has completed nearly 1,800 stores. Chipotle has seen a 2-4X reduction in downtime, exponentially above their goals, due to New Era’s network of technicians. Since its inception, the solid partnership between Chipotle and New Era has decreased the support burden that Chipotle’s IT team has to bear allowing them to focus their efforts on strategic IT projects that help drive Chipotle forward.

New Era Technology and a Public Water Supply Company have had a long-term relationship for over ten years as New Era was the integrator to upgrade and migrate six phone systems throughout the state of Connecticut. Over the past two years, New Era has been working with the company to migrate from their existing Avaya CM at their Corporate headquarters to a new Avaya IP office. The customer selected New Era Technology to replace the headquarters‘ systems due to the deep partnership and trust built supporting the company’s other locations.

Challenge

Create an integrated communications system to drive effective collaboration, offer a more flexible working environment, improve the customer experience, and reduce operating expenses.

Solution

New Era Technology served as a trusted adviser by replacing the headquarters’ aging phone system with an Avaya IP Office Server Edition Solution. The design included redundant servers, PRI, SIP, and analog trunking, with 400 phones and Power users.

Outcome
